1. Sales Culture – Supports Sales by attending to the inquiries and requests of current and potential guests and tenants. Promotes SMX to relatives and friends.
2. Customer Service – Handles incoming & outgoing correspondence and answers inquiries related to CCTV Operations.
3. Expense Management – Practicing the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle).
4. Financial Success – Help marketing through direct referrals from friends and connections.
5. Leadership – Assist Security Supervisor/Assistant Security Manager/Security Manager in maintaining confidentiality of CCTV Control Room.
• The post holder must, at all times, carry out their duties and responsibilities to comply with SMX policies/procedures.
• Monitor and operate the CCTV cameras and associated equipment in the CCTV Control Room.
• Follow protocols for maintaining the security of the CCTV Control Room and its facilities.
• Operate a range of remote call monitoring, alarms, and communications facilities contained within the Control Room.
• Report any incidents that occur immediately SMX Management, Policies and other line relevant agency via a dedicated link, and or other means of available communication gadgets.
• Maintain accurate records of data recording and events using incident reporting software.
• Participate in personal training and development in order to maintain an understanding of current CCTV legislation and regulation.
• Provide recorded media to authorized personnel only.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Services and Control Room working practices.
• Provide assistance in displaying and exhibiting the CCTV services to other parties if necessary upon management approval.
• Participate in team briefings, operator working groups and the Employee Development and Performance management Schemes to work closely with management and other agencies in the development and administration of the service.
• At all times the post holder must maintain and respect the security and sensitivity of the service. Comply with the adopted Code of Practice and service operational procedures at all times, breaches of which will result in disciplinary action.
• Any other duties which are equal or similar to the responsibility level and the grade of the post.
-Certification in CCTV Security / CCTV Operator or experience in CCTV operation is an advantage.
-Computer literate and knowledgeable in basic Microsoft Office application.
-Must have a good attention to detail and ability to multi task when required.
-Graduate from a reputable school.
-With relevant experience in CCTV monitoring and operations
Reporting directly to the Security Manager, the CCTV Operators are responsible in monitoring and operating the CCTV cameras and associated equipment in CCTV Control Room. Managing associated alarms and call monitoring to ensure the safety and security of people and property within public areas and other facilities via surveillance of the CCTV network.
